In recent
years Maggie Taylor has emerged as one of the most accomplished and
innovative masters of digital imaging processes. Using sources ranging
from snapshots to 19th-century daguerreotypes and tintypes, she constructs
fantastic, surreal narratives. Taylor’s composite images give fresh insight
as a new set of illustrations for Lewis Carroll’s classic Alice’s Adventures
in Wonderland. Although richly colored and dream-like in appearance,
her use of photographic sources and digital manipulation retains a sense of
the original photographic veracity, thus adding to the images’ surreal power.
Her digital transformations bring out the fantasy and fantastic that is at
the heart of Carroll’s playfully ironic writing. Like Carroll’s beloved
story, Taylor’s photographic prints have the potential to engage imaginative
minds of all ages, delighting adults as much as children. Additionally,
her inventive combination of digital processes and older sources provides
inspiration to contemporary artists and photographers pushing the boundaries
of new media. Maggie Taylor has gained national and international
recognition as demonstrated by the recent publication of Landscape of Dreams
(2006) and Solutions Beginning with A (2007). She has had numerous
one-person gallery exhibitions in the U.S. and this year is featured with her
husband, Jerry Uelsmann, in two joint shows in Seoul and Beijing.

Curator
David Swoyer will lead a gallery tour and discussion of the Inaugural Juried
Exhibition currently on view at the Florida Museum for Women Artists. The
choices for the exhibition include a wide range of styles, influences, media
and processes from traditional oil paintings to more experimental and
conceptual works. In the presentation Swoyer – who is not only a
curator, but also practicing artist – will discuss the aesthetic aspects as
well as the techniques used to produce these diverse approaches to the visual
experience. Don’t miss this fascinating talk with insights into the
exhibition. The talk will be held on February 7th at 2pm and is FREE and
open to the general public. For more information, please call the

Citroen is all about making the most of its recent concept car attention and form, and its DS High Rider concept, a three-door crossover, tiptoed in front of the cameras at the Geneva Motor Show last month, but the French company only showed us its outer parts. We are now worthy of a glimpse inside, created to follow the exterior design’s philosophy of “strength, dynamism and refinement” and add a dash of “sporting luxury.” None of this means we’ll actually see the High Rider in production, but the company is doing well enough with the hatch that we don’t think it impossible. In the meantime, have a look the inside and outside of it in the galleries of high-res photos below.

Some hosts do provide third party monitors of their website’s uptime publicly, so that might be useful. Another way to go about doing this is to read users’ review of their services – since they have experience of their services personally and would know how their uptime is like as well. Otherwise, you can always sign up for a hosting account with the host first, then use a third party monitor to check the uptime of your website (preferably every 5-10 minutes or so) and review it over a month – most hosts do offer a money back guarantee period so you can take advantage of it to review their service in that period.

Hi all !! I have the above version of Vista. When I try to search for updates with Windows Update, it says that there is an item to install, I try to install it, Windows Update shuts down and after a few moments, reopes with the error mesage “Windows could not search for new updates. Error code 80070643″. I have tried to fix it via Microsoft webpage, via .NET Framework solution and via office 2003 solution, wiht no success. I have installed Offce 2007. Any help would be welcome. Thanks a lot and Regards !!!

Even on the guilty count notice that the jury did not (from what I heard on TV) convict on the “I tried” portion. As I told you before, that one seemed like all kinds of wrong. Do we really want to have someone go to jail for saying “I tried” when they didn’t try. Does that REALLY have the possibility of effecting the FBI investigation? (You need that element to convict…not just the lie). I just don’t believe that. Maybe the holdouts felt the same way.

Hi. this is kind of an -unconventional- question , but have other visitors asked you how get the menu bar to look like you’ve got it?
